For many the Provence conjures up visions of sipping Rosé overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, but the region offers more than just quaffing Rosé. There are some wonderful wines produced from Syrah, Mouvèdre, Grenache, Carignan and a slew of other grapes found shared by the Rhône, Languedoc and Roussillon regions. The one grape allowed here and not in the other mentioned regions is Cabernet Sauvignon.
