The Languedoc has been known for the last twenty years for inexpensive wines without to much distinction, this is quickly changing with plentyof new investment and a commitment to quality. The main grapes used are Grenache, Mouvedre, Carignan and Syrah, though many other grapes are used to produce both interesting and quality wines.
