The 2001 Le Marze Rosso is mostly Bordeaux grapes but with a bit of Syrah as well. Fresh ruby in color, the aromas of ripe black currant and blackberry fruit, minerals and bacon fat are followed by a well concentrated, balanced, and spicy palate, warm and alcoholic but with a certain elegance as well.  - Daniel Thomases, Wine Advocate 90pts.
