Crowd Pleasing Whites + 92 Point Barolo Tasting!

This weekend we are excited to be joined by Kevin from David Bowler Wine.  He will be in the store on Saturday pouring up three wines: a refreshing Gavi, a great value Cali Chard, and a well-priced Barolo!  Be sure to mark it on your calendar and we will see you in the store on Saturday, July 20th from 3-6pm!

2018 Il Forte Gavi DOCG
Reg $15
Club $11.99

Il Forte Gavi is a refreshing and versatile Italian white who's affordability is just the cherry on top.  A delicious crowd pleaser, aromas of fresh flowers, pear, and light citrus leads into a palate of apple and pear flavors.  Light and crisp this white will pair beautifully with all your summertime dishes including pesto pasta, grilled chicken, and white fish.

2016 Mount Eden Edna Valley Chardonnay
Reg: $25
Club: $21.99

From one of the original boutique wineries of California comes this generous Chardonnay. A pure expression of the varietal, this Chardonnay is medium-bodied with notes of citrus and orchard fruits on both the nose and palate.  Lush flavors and rich texture makes this a treat to sip on.  One of the best value Cali Chards you will find to date!

2014 Schiavenza Barolo del Comune di Serralunga d'Alba

Awarded 92 points from Wine Spectator, this is an impressive effort by Schiavenza.  This Barolo is powerful, but refined with robust flavors of wild black cherry, leather, and licorice with smoke and herbal support.  The finish is dry and balanced with good length.  An elegant and pure expression of Nebbiolo, give this one an hour to breathe before relishing in all it has to offer.

"A burst of black cherry flavor introduces this rich red. Tar, earth, leather and wild herb notes follow through, aligned with dense tannins. Finishes with balance and length." - Wine Spectator, 92 points
