Heavily inspired by Bordeaux, Jayson Pahlmeyer set out with one goal in 1986: to produce world class Bordeaux style wines in Napa, California. Fast forward 30 years and Pahlmeyer Winery is now known for producing some of the most sought after Napa wines! Through sustainable farming and meticulous attention to detail their limited quantity wines consistently receive high scores with the winery earning their first 100 points from Robert Parker in 2016. It was only fitting that Pahlmeyer branched out into producing Sauvignon Blanc. Today, we are excited to share with you the first vintage of Pahlmeyer's Jayson Sauvignon Blanc, an elegant and vibrant Napa white.
This drinks like a classic Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc. Aromas of fresh pineapple, golden peach, and grassy stone leads into a soft and rich palate of grapefruit and citrus flavors. Aged in a combo of French oak and stainless steel, this white is fresh and lively showing power and finesse that Pahlmeyer wines are known for. There's an outstanding vibrancy and complexity here that's hard to find in other Sauvignon Blanc.
