Best known for being the grape that goes into some of the world's most celebrated and expensive wines, Nebbiolo can also be found in many Italian wineries entry-level wines. Where Barolo and Barbaresco can cost you a pretty penny and take decades to fully develop, entry-level Nebbiolo wines offer the character of the varietal through a softer and more accessible expression.

2013 Rivetto Langhe Nebbiolo.
Rivetto delivers a classic Nebbiolo from a solid vintage. After developing nicely over the last couple of years, this medium-bodied Italian red is showing quite well. Aromas of red fruit, spice, and gentle rose notes on the nose lead into a plush palate of red fruit, black cherry, and earth. A dry finish rounds out this value Langhe Nebbiolo that only benefits from pairing with food.
