2012 Carmelo Patti Cabernet Sauvignon

Argentina | Cabernet Sauvignon

 Paul's Fall Favorite

An Argentine Cabernet that believes it’s Bordeaux.  Carmelo Patti is considered to be one of Mendoza’s top enologists but has almost zero name recognition in the United States.  He believes in balance and finesse over power, native yeast fermentation, traditional elevage, and extended aging in bottle prior to release.   The result is a pure Cabernet expression of blackberry, cassis, with hints of cedar and graphite.
