"Dönnhoff's 2021 Sauvignon Blanc Marama is from three rows in the Plettenberg and was vinified by Cornelius Dönnhoff in a very fruity, reductive, New Zealand style. Fermented in stainless steel, the Marama (translated: light) shows clear and aromatic, ripe and lush tropical fruit (passion fruit) and crushed stones. Not really bone dry on the palate, this is a light, round and fruity yet also intense and persistent-finishing Sauvignon with fine phenolic and mineral grip as well as delicate grapefruit bitters on the stimulating and tonic aftertaste. Excellent."
