Powerful and deep on the palate, with plenty of tannin, the Contra Costa Red is wonderfully expressive. Rose petal, lavender, mint, sage, blood orange and red/purplish berry fruit give this effusive blend so much character. I loved it. The blend is 65% Carignan and 35% Mataro."
