"Finca Sophenia Altosur 2023 is a great value Uco Valley 100% Malbec at $18. Dry, medium-bodied and vegan-friendly, the wine is plushy and as rich on the nose as it on the palate with fresh violets, mulberry, dark cherry, cocoa and savoury herbs generous, vibrant and lingering on a flinty stony note. Tannins are structured. Produced from estate grown grapes from vines over 1200 metres above sea level, "Altosur" translates to "high in the south" and an apt name for this wine."
