"One of the most iconic varietals in Sicily, grillo relishes on the steep slopes of our summer with strong diurnal temperature variations. This particular vineyard rises from an ancient wild pear orchard that bursts into flower every spring to the delight of the vineyard works and the landscape. The wine takes its name from the local dialect (“Costa del Pero”) of this special parcel. The vineyard's favorable position lends an elevated natural acidity to the wine giving it a fresh, flavorful and precise character with generous, fruity tones.
